This glossary is a gathering of every heraldic definition all over the web that I have been able to find. A lot of various definitions have been condensed together, and were examples of the charges, blazons and other figures were found, I have tried to include them here. Various artworks here scanned from old books, taken from copyright-free books and sites amoung other places. If you seen artwork that might have a copyright on it, please let me know.

As well as the definitions, there are pronunciation clues, alternate references to the term, and examples of the term used in blazons.

Currently there are over 1300 definitions present, and more being added all the time. I started this a long while back, and was in the process of rebuilding it a couple years back into a large Windows help file, but the task was overwhelming! Now I have employed new technology that has allowed me to tame this beast and bring all the data online.

Since I don't like relying so much on the art of others, I have begun to generate examples of the blazon in the form of 3-d appearing artwork.
